The undergraduate chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at Binghamton University (New York Omega) partnered with Sigma Delta Tau (SDT) and Chabad at Binghamton to raise more than $32,000 for Chai Lifeline, an organization that helps kids who are suffering from cancer. The campaign also saw nearly 50,000 toys donated for this holiday season.

Organizers spent the last month and a half fundraising and collecting toys, which will be delivered next week during the Chai Lifeline Hanukkah party.

“Hanukkah is all about spreading the light,” says Amanda Heisler, Chabad at Binghamton Social Chair. “It’s called the light up a life toy drive for a reason. We’re all trying to just give to others, but it doesn’t diminish from what you have. And sharing and all that love just reflects exactly what that holiday is all about.”
