Theta Chi fraternity at the University of Alabama held a blood drive last week where the brothers hosted the American Red Cross for a campus-wide blood drive.
Through the use of social media, Theta Chi invited other fraternities, sororities and everyone on campus to stop by and give the gift of life.
American Red Cross worker JoJo Burnett said the event was a perfect partnership for them.
“We really like to make blood donation as convenient as possible and so being able to have a blood drive on a university campus at a fraternity house makes it really convenient for people in the community and for students who just walk up, give and then go on to their next class,” said Burnett. “We really appreciate our partnership with Theta Chi fraternity and being able to host the drive right in their fraternity house and just make it convenient for students to come.”
This blood drive was a competition with the University of Georgia, where a similar blood drive happened.
