The Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, Alpha Mu Chapter Penn State Alumni organization has agreed to contribute $80,000 to Penn State’s Timothy J. Piazza Center for Fraternity and Sorority Research and Reform. The university will match the organization’s contribution.

The Piazza Center is focused on preventing activities like hazing and substance abuse in order to create a safer Greek Life experience. At the same time, it seeks to promote leadership, service, and diversity.

“The University’s effort to strengthen and create a safer fraternity and sorority experience requires partnership with each and every organization,” Damon Sims, vice president for Student Affairs, said. “Pi Kappa Phi’s leadership gift in support of the Piazza Center is a confirmation of our shared values for excellence, responsibility, and community. I could not be more grateful for both their generosity and their shared commitment to our Penn State values.”
