TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Some local college students spent their Saturday morning working like Santa’s elves.
Fraternities at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology banded together to assemble some bicycles. The bikes put together will go out to children in the community. It’s all for the Chances and Services for Youth’s Bikes for Tykes Community Service Project.
Evan Galloway worked with his fraternity Sigma Nu. He tells us why he gets involved.
“You know it’s going to little kids. I remember getting a bike when I was a kid. It’s an awesome feeling, so just trying to spread that joy to people,” said Galloway.
Organizers say more than 200 bikes were assembled and passed out to Wabash Valley families for the holidays.
