This past weekend, members of the Richmond-Perrine (FL) Alumni Chapter of the historically Black Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., hosted its “Bond and Brunch” event at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in West Perrine. The event attracted 72 young men, ranging from 6th to 12th grade, who were provided with mentorship and guidance by a team of 15 men from various backgrounds, including fraternity members, respected leaders from the local community and military members. These mentors, including KAP keeper of records Ervin Fort, polemarch Katdo Robinson, and the Rev. Dr. Remiel Lockwood, all shared personal stories of triumph, perseverance, and the significance of education, leadership and brotherhood.
