Healthy Campus and Fraternity and Sorority Life are teaming up to host the first-ever Spring Break Bash – Stay Safe and Thrive event in the Quad on March 5 from 1-4 p.m. (in the event of inclement weather, the event will be held March 10 at the same location and time). Open to all students, Spring Break Bash aims to make safety information accessible and fun through interactive activities, giveaways and real-life tips students can use to have a great time on break while looking out for themselves and their friends.
The event will feature resources and representation from campus and community partners committed to student health, well-being and safety, including Clemson’s Interpersonal Violence Resource Alliance, Clemson University Police Department, Fraternity and Sorority Life Wellness Advocates, Clemson Dining, Pickens County Advocacy Center and FAVOR Upstate, among others.
“Spring Break can be a high-risk time for students, with increased travel, social events and unfamiliar environments,” said Delana Reynolds, associate director of Healthy Campus. “We want to empower students to make informed choices so they can enjoy their break to the fullest! We’re excited to bring the campus community together for this event and hope to make it a Clemson tradition for years to come.”
Spring break safety tips and event information will be posted on the Healthy Campus and Fraternity and Sorority Life Instagram accounts as it becomes available.
