Omega Psi Phi Fraternity members from the Lebanon, Tenn., area recently completed community service events.

The organization provided some Wilson County Schools students with Nike shoes.

Brothers Ander Davis, Earl Berry, Jeffery Walker, Clarence Jordan, Kris Parker and Jason Alexander chaired the drive.

The group said the efforts would not have been possible without the donation and support of the many community entities.

Mary Ashby and the Wilson County Adult High School spoke to the group about providing shoes to students in need.

“Her sincere concern about her students inspired the initiative of the members of Omega Psi Phi to partner with Nike,” Berry said. “In December of 2018, Omega Psi Phi was able to provide Nike shoes to over 30 students who were in need.”

The group held its Masquerade Party on Saturday at Cumberland University’s Baird Chapel to help raise funds for community events and projects.
