The campus of Florida A&M University (FAMU) is experiencing a resurgence of vitality and excitement as a newly initiated sorority and fraternity members bring fresh energy to the university community. With the crossing of new initiates, an increase in campus tours, the anticipation of spring preview events, and the arrival of warmer weather, FAMU is buzzing with activity and renewal.
The crossing of new sorority and fraternity initiates marks a significant milestone in the rich tradition of Greek life at FAMU. These young individuals, eager to contribute to the campus community, bring with them a sense of enthusiasm and dedication that is palpable across the campus grounds. As they step into their roles as active members, they infuse new perspectives and ideas, enriching the fabric of campus life.
Dakarai Williams, Student Government Association Vice President-elect, shared his thoughts as a new initiate to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, and the spunk new members of fraternities and sororities bring to the campus.
“I think the addition of new fraternities and sororities has influenced the sense of community and unity amongst students at FAMU, showing that we all have important roles when it comes to supporting our campus and community, and in FAMU fashion, we are much stronger together than apart,” Williams said.
