Northern Arizona University’s Kappa Alpha fraternity will be hosting its third annual Rose Bowl fundraiser Saturday to raise money for Special Olympics Arizona.

“This family-friendly event wraps up Kappa Alpha’s monthlong fundraising to help support Special Olympics Arizona,” according to the announcement. It said that last year’s Rose Bowl raised $8,000 to support Special Olympics Arizona’s work around Flagstaff.

On April 13, members of Kappa Alpha, Special Olympics athletes and supporters, including friends, family and local partners, will gather on NAU’s campus from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the event.

It will be held at NAU’s South Recreation Complex (2475 S. Huffer Lane) and feature a flag football game, lawn games, a raffle, free food and drinks, and a check presentation.

The flag football game will begin at 11 a.m., with the check presentation beginning at 1:30 p.m. Lawn games, the raffle and other entertainment will begin at 12:30 p.m.
