SEWANEE, Tenn. – Senior Drew Noblet [Chi Psi] broke the school record in the javelin and freshman Stephen Goetze finished fifth in the same event while freshman Eleanor Graham placed sixth in the 3000-meters for the Sewanee track and field teams Friday at the 2nd Annual Scots Invitational in Maryville, Tenn.
Noblet eclipsed the school record in the javelin with a winning throw of 186-feet, 7-inches and now leads the SAA by nine feet. The Waxhaw, N.C., native also ranks 24th nationally in the event.
Junior Stephen Goetze was fifth in the javelin with a mark of 130-feet, 8-inches while sophomore Lukus White recorded a mark of 106-6 and sophomore Gavin Potter registered a mark of 102-6. Potter finished seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 120-feet, 1-inch
Sophomore Emma Howlett placed sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 118-feet, 8-inches while freshman Kamilla Haidaienko posted a mark of 85-8.
Graham finished with a time of 12:29.83 in the 3000 for sixth place as well.
