This past Sunday, the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League honored the life of legendary costume maker and Kappa Epsilon Chapter alumnus Jeffrey Fender (Appalachian State) during the 77th presentation of the Tony Awards. Brother Fender was a prolific painter for Broadway, and his work could be seen in many notable productions, including Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Cabaret, Les Misérables, The Color Purple, The Book of Mormon, Sweeny Todd, and more. Brother Fender’s brother, Greg, was a founding member of the Kappa Epsilon Chapter when the chapter was chartered in 1983. Brother Fender entered Chapter Eternal last October. He was 60 years old. #sigmanu #legionofhonor
