SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – College is a privilege not everyone can afford, but thanks to one fraternity, fifteen Savannah-Chatham County seniors won’t have to bear that financial burden alone.
On Saturday, the Mu Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. held a scholarship presentation for Savannah-Chatham County graduated seniors.
“Today, the Mu Phi Chapter hosted the annual scholarship program, in which we awarded 15 high school graduates with $12,000 dollars in scholarships, in their pursuit in higher learning” says Tomorris Robinson, Sr., President of Mu Phi chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
The Mu Phi Chapter does this annual scholarship for students every year. Dr. Dennis Watts, the Savannah-Chatham County Public School Superintendent was in attendance and was able to speak with the recipients of the award.
