WEST LIBERTY, WV -West Liberty University has started Greek Life Rush Week. Rush Week is when every fraternity and sorority has a week of events for anyone interested in Greek Life to have an opportunity to speak and ask questions with the Greek Life members. So with that being said let’s look into what Phi Delta Theta has done for their rush week.

With the first event on September 21st, they had a walk-in movie night at the Phi Delta Theta house. The movie that was played was called Smokey and the Bandit. Their reasoning for this movie is that Burt Reynold,s who played Bandit, was a Phi Delta Theta member at Florida State University. With the help of Phi Delta Theta president, Liam Peklinsky, brought his own white screen and surround system with popcorn and pop provided.

On September 22nd, there was a football cookout. Member Kyle Tomlinson helped cook the burgers and hotdogs. He also made sure that they could watch football on his YouTube account. Some even wore their favorite team jerseys while others were there mainly for the food.

The following day, poker night was held yet again at the Phi Delta Theta house. This was one of their biggest events with over 20 people attending. Even the people that didn’t know how to play still had a blast.

On Tuesday was Cornhole on the quad with the Phi Delta Theta brothers. This event got cut short due to the weather conditions but they were there for at least an hour.

On September 25th, They hosted a bowling night at St. Clair Lanes. This was one of their second biggest events with about 15 people showing up. This event had everyone having a great time and it couldn’t be done without their treasury, Chance Maffe.

On Thursday they hold a game night at the Phi Delta Theta house. They brought a Nintendo Switch so they could play Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart while there was a second TV with some other guys playing Madden. This was the most energetic event they had. The last event they had was Pool night which was the smallest event they had due to people going home for the weekend.
