MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW)—As a homecoming week tradition at K-State, Wildcats students hosted their annual Children’s Carnival at the Student Union on Wednesday night.

Dozens of student organizations were at the event, setting up tables, trick-or-treating, and games for young children in their Halloween costumes.

Among the organizations with a big presence at the event were K-State’s fraternities and sororities.

“This is my favorite part {of homecoming week],” K-State student Morgan Tempel told 13 News. “I‘m here with Alpha Chi Omega and Sigma Alpha Epsilon, we’re the two fraternities and sororities combined for our little homecoming competition.”

“It’s just a great way to give back to our community and just involve our kids and everyone else in the community a bit in K-State college life,” Tempel said.

Homecoming events at K-State will continue through the end of the week. On Friday, Trick-Or-Treat in Aggieville will be held from 3-5 p.m., immediately followed by K-State‘s homecoming parade and pep rally. Homecoming week concludes with Saturday night’s football game against Kansas.
