Georgia Southern Greeks exceed 1,000 service hours during FSL Serves Week

Georgia Southern University’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life proudly celebrated the success of FSL Serves Week 2025, uniting both campuses in a record-breaking week of service, philanthropy, and community engagement.

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (OFSL) at Georgia Southern University is proud to announce the successful conclusion of FSL Serves Week. The week united the university’s fraternity and sorority community in making a significant impact on the Armstrong and Statesboro communities.

Held from April 19-26, 2025, the event featured a variety of service projects, philanthropic events, and community engagement initiatives, showcasing the spirit of collaboration and commitment to service among fraternity and sorority members on both campuses. 

his year’s FSL Serves saw remarkable growth, with 239 volunteers participating, up from 170 in 2024, marking a 40% increase. The number of service hours also rose significantly, from 650 last year to 1,102.25 in 2025, a 70% increase in impact.

Notably, this was the first year the Armstrong campus participated in FSL Serves, expanding the program’s reach and reinforcing a multi-campus commitment to service.  

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life extends its deepest gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and community partners such as Office of Leadership & Community Engagement, The Eagle Battalion Army ROTC Program, the Kennedy Pond Conservancy, Bulloch County Parks & Recreation Department, The Gardens Senior Living & Memory Care Facility, Statesboro Farmers Market, and the University Facilities Department who made this week a resounding success.
