Sigma Pi Brothers at William and Mary Raise Over $42,000 for Cancer Research

Williamsburg, VA – During the summer of 2025, after graduation, six brothers of the Alpha-Eta Chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity at the College of William and Mary in partnership with the Ullman Foundation began a cross country journey to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Their goal was to raise $40,000 and currently they have raised $42,511. They have biked 3,503 miles through 11 states and only have two more days before they reach San Francisco. The funding from trip goes to support the Ulman Foundation which helps young adults with cancer.

Also during the trip 3 of the guys have been simultaneously biking and applying to medical schools every single day. We would like to recognize: Matthew Boothby, Lucas Teuber, Matthew Berthoud, Nathan Kim, Brian Simmons, Jeff Newton, and James Long who truly exemplify the values of the Fraternity – Living a life of Significance each and every day.
