UNC Wilmington students provide hurricane relief

After Hurricane Florence hit Wilmington, N.C., UNC Wilmington students Nick Pianovich (Alpha Sigma Phi) and Jordan Cooke (Lambda Chi Alpha) worked together to coordinate relief efforts in the area. They were able to gather 80 students to volunteer over an 11-day period, gutting 23 homes and serving over 1,800 hours. Additionally, the men decided to design a Hurricane Relief t-shirt to raise money for the campus Emergency Relief Fund. They were able to donate almost $2,500 to the fund which will help students who are experiencing financial difficulty after the storm.
