IFC, PHC, MGC, & NPHC have a broad slate of speakers, events, and overall awareness of this incredibly important month, including:

Collaborating with two Campus partners, fundraising as well as working together to raise awareness around sexual assault.

Selling shirts and buttons to raise money and awareness for these organizations and sexual assault! Our slogan for the month is: “It’s Time to Talk About It”.

April 1 session from Tim Mousseau with Campuspeak. Tim combines original research with powerful stories grounded in personal experiences. Tim uses passion and vulnerability to guide conversations that will leave students inspired to combat sexual violence, redefine masculinity, and provoke change

April 13 session with Brittany Piper, a sexual assault survivor, educator, and wellness coach will be discussing her experience and her triumph. Now as a leading national expert on sexual violence and prevention, and a healing and wellness coach—Brittany uses her story of adversity, resilience, and triumph to empower and inspire audiences to take brave action in their own lives and communities.

April 26-30, the councils will host a community fundraising week at local Iowa City restaurants such as Freddy’s, Chipotle, Z’Mariks, and Yotopia.
