CINCINNATI — The Delta Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., in conjunction with the young men of Alpha Esquire Youth Group, will host “Go To High School, Go To College” on Saturday, March 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The event will be held at the University of Cincinnati Medical Science Building.
This event is free and open to students who are members of youth organizations. Students can register at https://www.gths-gtc.com/register.
Established in 1922, Go to High School, Go to College concentrates on the importance of completing secondary and collegiate education as a path to advancement, especially for minority students. The series of workshops that will be facilitated during the program was created to energize thinking to achieve the goals of succeeding in education. At the conclusion of the program, the Fraternity will award Four Scholarships from notables: The Onward & Upward Scholarship, The Scholastic Achievement Award, the Doris Lark McAdams Memorial Scholarship and The Delta Gamma Lambda Foundation Scholarship.
Go To High School, Go To College includes a series of workshops and breakout sessions geared toward the importance of furthering education; the transition from high school to college; the college application and admissions process; the FASFA process; scholarship opportunities; ACT/SAT information, and open forums for attendees to ask questions to current college students and recent college grads.
