Monaleto C. Irby, a native of Demopolis, Alabama and a 1993 graduate of Demopolis High School, has been elected as International Director of Collegiate Affairs for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. during their International Conclave in Houston, Tx this past July. Irby, who has been a member of the organization for 27 years, coming through the Pi Kappa Chapter at Jacksonville State University where he played football and graduated in 1997. Irby is the immediate past State Director of Georgia (2019-2023) and a member of the Xi Chi Sigma Chapter, Atlanta. In his new role, Irby will be responsible for the overall programmatic thrust for the collegiate chapters of the fraternity. He will work closely with the 7 Regional Directors and the General Board of Phi Beta Sigma to implement sustainable programs to help impact the campus culture of the organization. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, is a 109 year old organization of college and professional men. Today, Phi Beta Sigma has blossomed into an international organization of leaders. No longer a single entity, members of the Fraternity have been instrumental in the establishment of the Phi Beta Sigma National Foundation, the Phi Beta Sigma Federal Credit Union and The Sigma Beta Club Foundation. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, founded in 1920 with the assistance of Phi Beta Sigma, is the sister organization of the Fraternity. Irby is married to Charlisa Irby and has one daughter, Kaelyn. He is the son of Laverne Irby Biggs of Demopolis.
