ADA — Ohio Northern University students jumped into the freezing temperatures of Neiheiser Lake to raise money for men’s mental health.
Student organizer Nate Holcomb said the Delta Sigma Phi Polar Plunge, a winter event where participants enter a body of water despite how cold it is, raised $1,242. Participants donated money for themselves, or for a fraternity brother to jump in their place.
Holcomb said the funds will go to the Face It Foundation.
The foundation gives men the support they need to face depression, take control of their recovery and get their lives back. It was founded in 2009 and is based out of Minnesota.
