Former Number I Sam Butler (Alpha Omicron–Arkansas ’21) was named the Interfraternity Council’s Outstanding Chapter President for 2023.

“Serving in this role has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life,” Sam commented. “It would not have been possible without the excellent advisors, faculty, advisors, and members who supported and empowered me throughout this journey. I am particularly grateful for the incredible mentorship and guidance from Anthony Graziani and Parice Bowser. I also must thank my executive team and Vice President, Jacob Berger, for their outstanding leadership. This award is as much theirs as it is mine.”

From Kansas City, Kansas, Sam is a finance and economics honors junior. He served his chapter as community service chair before being elected as Number I (President) and continues to stay involved as brotherhood chair, helping to organize fun activities for chapter members.

Sam regularly tutors business classes, is involved with the business school’s mentorship program, and has been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honors Society.  He has been included on the Chancellor’s List every year and will be representing the Univerity of Arkansas at the Model United Nations in the Galápagos Islands next year.
