Nicholls State University student Grant Rebstock has been awarded the prestigious True Gentleman of the Year Award, the highest accolade given by Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity to a collegiate member.
This national award recognizes the individual who exemplifies the core values of the fraternity, including scholastic excellence, fraternity involvement, leadership on campus, and dedicated community service.
Competing against more than 14,000 undergraduate members from more than 230 chapters nationwide, Grant’s journey to this honor was marked by his selection as one of six finalists before ultimately being named the recipient. Along with the award, Grant will receive a $5,000 scholarship, endowed by Warren P. Poslusny, an SAE alumnus from Kettering University, to acknowledge outstanding leadership and service within the fraternity.
Grant’s commitment to leadership and service is evident in his many roles on campus. He was recently crowned Mr. Nicholls 2024 and he also serves as President of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, President of the University Honors Program, Chief Justice of the Student Supreme Court, and Social Media Specialist for the Student Government Association. Additionally, he is involved in several other organizations, including the Pre-Professional Medical Association, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and various honor societies. His active participation and leadership across campus have not only contributed to his recognition as Mr. Nicholls but also played a significant role in his selection as the True Gentleman of the Year.
