The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority teamed up to help students in the Warner Robins area prepare for college
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A fraternity and a sorority teamed up on Saturday to give back to the Warner Robins community.
Kappa Zeta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and the Xi Omega Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. teamed up to host a college fair and scholarship workshop for kids at the Warner Robins Wellston Center.
The fraternity and sorority looked to provide students with key information on preparing for college, applying for scholarships and offering several community engagement opportunities.
They brought representatives from colleges and universities throughout Georgia to give tips on researching and applying for schools. The organizations onsite were the following:
- Fort Valley State University
- Grand Canyon University
- AAMU Alumni Georgia Chapter
- Middle Georgia State University
- Wesleyan
- Central Georgia Technical College
- Western Governors University.
There was also voter registration available and multiple food trucks for people to enjoy.
The event ran from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
