CINCINNATI — Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Delta Gamma Lambda Chapter is hosting one of Fraternity’s signature programs, “Go to High School, Go to College,” at the University of Cincinnati.

Young men and women are invited out for a series of workshops and breakout sessions geared toward the importance of furthering their education; the transition from high school to college, the college application and admissions process, the FASFA process, scholarship opportunities, ACT/SAT information, and open forums for attendees to ask questions to current college students and recent college grads.

Many of the students and kids in the African American community don’t have the most adequate resources and knowledge when it comes to furthering their education. This free program is aimed towards bridging that gap.

At the conclusion of this event, the “Onward & Upward Scholarship,” which is a $1,000 scholarship, will be presented to a student in attendance of this event. Men and women, aged 12-18, are invited to attend and breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The event begins at 9 a.m. on March 5 and runs until 2 p.m. at UC’s Medical Science Building (231 Albert Sabin Way).
