This past week, members of Susquehanna University’s Greek Life participated in Greek Week, an annual competition and fundraiser. This year, the week’s theme was Lights, Camera, Greek Week!
Throughout the week, every organization participates in events such as beach volleyball, trivia, dodgeball, a Mario Kart tournament, an escape room, and finally Airband, in order to win points. At the end of the week, the points are tallied up and the winners are announced. The 2024 Greek Week winners were Kappa Delta Sorority and Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
Airband is a competition that finished off Greek week. Each fraternity and sorority choreograph a five-minute dance which corresponds to the annual Greek week theme. It was hosted in Weber Chapter on Sunday, April 14 and tickets were $3 at the door. Each organization chose a movie as their theme including movies such as “Barbie,” “Grease,” “Teen Beach Movie,” and many others.
Zeta Tau Alpha won Airband for the sororities with their theme of “Alice and Wonderland,” and Phi Mu Delta won for the fraternities with their theme of “Star Wars.” Each of the Airband winners won $511 for their individual philanthropies Breast Cancer Awareness and Education and Transitions of PA.
