FLORENCE – Four University of North Alabama alumni will be inducted into the inaugural Greek Hall of Fame as part of the recent 50th anniversary weekend celebrating Fraternity and Sorority Life at UNA.
“Our panel of judges spent a long time reviewing our many applications and we are thrilled with those who have been selected for this inaugural class,” said Anna Leigh Rossi, Director of Fraternity and Sorority
Life. “They are great representatives of their organizations, but they also live out the ideals of fraternity and sorority members of service to others and their communities.”
The inductees are:
• Michael Anthony, Phi Gamma Delta, was initiated into the Phi Upsilon chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) in 1994. He is a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee and is employed by the city as the Director of Safety, Compliance, and Risk Management.
• Larry Softley Jr., Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., was initiated as a member of the Kappa Gamma chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in 1985 and has been an active member of the Shoals community and Alpha Phi Alpha for the past 39 years.
The four were formally recognized at the Greek Alumni Mixer on April 19 on campus.
