In addition to Brother Larry Connolly’s (Washington & Lee) two horses, Dornoch and Society Man, two other horses that competed in the historic event are owned by alumni from the Gamma Upsilon Chapter (Arkansas). Jerry Caroom is the owner of Track Phantom, and Daniel Banks Hamby is the owner of race winner Mystik Dan (pictured).
