BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Members Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) at Indiana University dedicated their morning to a community service initiative on Sunday, adopting and cleaning Highway 45 in Bloomington, according to a press release sent to the Bloomingtonian. More than 100 fraternity members in yellow vests took part in the cleanup effort, removing trash and debris along the roadside.
“This effort is part of a broader commitment by SAE to engage in meaningful service that benefits the IU Bloomington community and beyond. Believing firmly in the power of action to foster positive change, SAE has pledged to maintain Highway 45 for the next two years. Through regular monitoring and cleanup efforts, we aim to ensure that the highway presents a beautiful and inviting image for everyone who travels it, whether they are coming to or departing from Bloomington,” an SAE spokesperson said.
