West Texas A&M University celebrated Homecoming last week and several candidates from around the area were selected as Homecoming court candidates.
Yadhira “Yaya” Avalos, a senior from Hereford, was crowned queen and Caden Bonilla, a senior from Amarillo, was crowned king during halftime of the football game between WT and Western New Mexico University on Oct. 12.
Avalos is a biology/pre-med major who represented the Student Government Association and FIRSTGEN. Bonilla is a biology/pre-dental major who represented Students Assisting in Good Endeavors.

- Meschach Glvoer Ettibuah, master’s student in electrical engineering from Ghana, representing African Student Organization
- Jack Montgomery, junior music education major from College Station, representing The Sound of West Texas Buffalo Marching Band
