Greek Week activities ended on April 4 with Greek Sing, the most anticipated event. The winner of the fraternity bracket was Alpha Phi Delta and the winner of the sorority bracket was Alpha Phi Omega.

For Alpha Phi Omega, this is the first time the sorority has won Greek Week. Ten graduating seniors got to experience the moment.

“I believe everyone did an amazing job,” said senior Cheyenne Risbon, a member of Alpha Phi Omega. “It could not feel more incredible.”

This is the second time Alpha Phi Delta has won Greek Week in the past four years. They were champions in the spring of 2023.

“It felt great winning Greek Week as a senior,” said Joey Nguyen, a brother of Alpha Phi Delta.

By the end of Wednesday, Theta Phi Alpha was in first, Alpha Phi Omega was in second, and Phi Lambda Psi was in third for the sorority bracket.

For the fraternity bracket, Phi Kappa Theta was first, Alpha Phi Delta second, and Tau Kappa Epsilon third.

On Wednesday, senior Grace Raquel of Alpha Phi Omega was confident with her group’s placement and believed her sorority was ready to make a move into first place.

“I think we placed ourselves in a great position for the rest of the week,” said the senior from Naperville, Illinois.

By midweek last week, the teams had already competed in soccer, flag football, dodgeball, basketball, volleyball and Minute-To-Win-It games.

The rest of the events of the week included golf, cornhole, trivia, Mario Kart and Greek Sing. Greek Sing offered the most points of all the events of Greek Week.

“Everyone had a lot of fun,” said senior Olivia Nguyen, a sister of Phi Delta Kappa.
