
KEARNEY – Luke Przymus and Mackenzie Welsh are the 2024-25 Fraternity and Sorority Members of the Year at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
They were recognized Thursday evening during the annual Fraternity and Sorority Life awards banquet at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Kearney.
A junior from Columbus, Przymus is studying 7-12 social science education. He currently serves as president of the UNK Interfraternity Council and previously was vice president of member development for the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
Przymus has also been involved in UNK Student Government, the Honors Program and Chancellor’s Ambassadors. He’s a student coordinator for the Regional Engagement Center on campus and a former resident assistant.
His nominator described him as a high-achieving fraternity member who demonstrates leadership and a commitment to the community.
“His involvement is extensive, which demonstrates his passion for not only his fraternity, but also the FSL community and UNK as a whole. He has worked tirelessly to ensure that Greek Life and fraternities continue to thrive at UNK and serves as a mentor for younger members.”
