Students in WKU’s Greek Life community will be making the holidays brighter with gifts for 34 children at Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary School.

“I am proud for WKU Greek Life to partner with Parker-Bennett-Curry for the Christmas Angel program,” said Andrew Rash, Assistant Director of Student Activities and Greek Life. “Our chapters sponsored 34 kids, representing the 34 Greek chapters we have on WKU’s campus. This cross-council collaboration brought Panhellenic, National Pan-Hellenic, and InterFraternity Council groups together to do something positive for the Bowling Green community.”

Members of the Greek chapters will meet to wrap gifts at 5 p.m. Nov. 30 in Downing Student Union, room 3020.

“The ladies of the Eta Zeta chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., are honored and pleased to support the community and sponsor a local Angel deserving of a memorable holiday time this season,” chapter president Nailah Weller said. “We want to thank WKU Greek Life and Parker-Bennett-Curry for this opportunity.”

Harrison Snyder, President of Sigma Chi Fraternity, said: “We are very excited to participate in this tremendous event alongside all these other great chapters. Bringing some joy to a great group of kids during the Christmas season is what it’s all about, and we’re honored to be able to participate. Serving those in our community is at the heart of what it means to be Greek, and Sigma Chi is proud to stand with our brother and sister chapters to put a lot of joy underneath the Angel program this Christmas.”
