BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Western Kentucky University takes a stand against sexual assault during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Monday, the school hosted a Q&A panel to educate Greek Life men about the warning signs of sexual assault.
The panel was a collaboration between WKU’s Interfraternity Council, the Committee for Sexual Assault Prevention Month, and Bowling Green’s Hope Harbor.
The leaders discussed how to establish a culture of zero tolerance fraternal-wide and be a listening ear for those who confide in them about their experiences.
Associate Director of Student Activities Andrew Rash said, “This program particular is designed to educate our men to be proactive, to be preventive, and really to eradicate any sense of negative risk management incidence tied with sexual assault or rape or anything like that…. It’s a program that’s grown, and it’s something I’m proud to be a part of.”
