MSU Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life celebrates Ritter Awards recipients

Mississippi State’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life recently celebrated the accomplishments of its chapters and members at the annual Ritter Awards.

Since 1994, the Ritter Awards have been made possible thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Ritter of Kosciusko and enhance and reward the pursuit of excellence by the fraternities and sororities at MSU.

The following students and chapters were recognized with awards:

—Greek Hall of Fame Inductees: Nathan Mosley a biomedical engineering major from Raymond, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; Ryan McMinn, a mechanical engineering major from Collierville, Tennessee, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity; Asa Hausner, a mechanical engineering major from Greenwood, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.

—President of the Year: Clark Steward, a civil engineering major from Sikeston, Missouri, Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity

—New Member of the Year: Jeffery Johnson, a finance major from Jackson, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

—Excellence in Scholarship: Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

—Excellence in Brotherhood: Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

—Most Improved Chapter: Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity

—SOFE Chapter of the Year: Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

—Most Improved IFC GPA: Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity

—Highest IFC GPA: Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity
